Cicret Bracelet – The bracelet that turns your skin into a touch screen

The Cicret bracelet is a surprising project. The French team (yes sir, French!) Had launched a fundraising campaign on indegogo which was paused.

The Cicret bracelet – Description

The following diagram represents what should be the contents of the bracelet cicret:

The principle is therefore to miniaturize the components of a telephone in a bracelet which will have for screen a pico-projector.

With the Cicret Bracelet, you can make your arm your new touchscreen.

Video demonstration:

I must say that I remain mixed about the possibility of making such a bracelet. The goal is therefore to build a completely autonomous device that projects the screen on your forearm. To tell you all by quickly seeing the project at the beginning I did not understand that. I had rather understood that the bracelet was connected to a smartphone and that it only displayed the screen  and then transmitted the interactions to the phone.

In fact I think it would make the project a little more viable in the sense that it would remove quite a few components (processor, memory etc.) and decrease the battery. I can’t wait to see what the project will become and what the creators are deciding.

The final product would be sold between $ 600 and $ 700 (€ 481 / € 561).
